Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ApplyIt Ltd (“ApplyIt,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using applyit.app, the ApplyIt dashboard, or the ApplyIt Chrome extension (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

ApplyIt is an AI-powered job application optimization platform. The Service includes: CV analysis and tailoring, cover letter generation, ATS score analysis, interview preparation, a job feed agent, and an autofill Chrome extension. Features vary by plan (Free, Pro, Power) as described at applyit.app/#pricing.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service, except as required by applicable law.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must create an account to use most features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@applyit.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

3.3 One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or obtain free trial benefits is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Automated scraping: Use bots, crawlers, or automated scripts to access or extract data from the Service without prior written permission.
• Spam and mass submissions: Submit large volumes of low-quality or duplicate job applications using AI-generated content at scale.
• API abuse: Attempt to circumvent rate limits, reverse-engineer the API, or make requests that could impair service availability for other users.
• Impersonation: Upload CVs or use identities that do not belong to you, or represent others without their explicit consent.
• Illegal activities: Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws, including data protection laws, employment discrimination laws, or intellectual property laws.
• Harmful content: Submit content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, or that promotes illegal activity.
• Security testing: Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without prior written authorisation.
• Resale: Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or AI outputs without our written consent.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

5. Subscription and Payment Terms

5.1 Plans and Pricing

ApplyIt offers a Free plan and paid plans (Pro, Power). Pricing is displayed in USD and local currencies at applyit.app/#pricing. Prices may vary by region. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

5.2 Auto-Renewal

Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorise us to charge the payment method on file for renewal.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription, or by emailing legal@applyit.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.

5.4 Price Changes

We will give you at least 30 days' notice before changing your subscription price. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, you consent to the new pricing.

5.5 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will retry the charge up to 3 times over 7 days. If payment is not received, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan. You will be notified by email before downgrade.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first subscription payment, contact us at legal@applyit.app and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked.

After 7 days, refunds are issued at our discretion for exceptional circumstances (e.g., service outage that prevented access for more than 48 hours). Partial-period refunds are not provided upon cancellation. See our full Refund Policy for details.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the CV, job descriptions, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). By submitting content, you grant ApplyIt a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process your content solely to provide the Service. We will never use your CV or personal content to train AI models.

7.2 AI-Generated Outputs

Cover letters, CVs, and other content generated by our AI are provided “as-is” for your personal use in job applications. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and using AI outputs appropriately. We make no warranties that AI outputs are factually accurate or suitable for your specific situation.

7.3 ApplyIt IP

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and algorithms, is owned by or licensed to ApplyIt and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL RESULT IN JOB OFFERS OR INTERVIEWS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APPLYIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) £50 (GBP) OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above may not fully apply to you.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or where required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at legal@applyit.app to seek an informal resolution. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes within 30 days.

12. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ApplyIt.
• Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
